The group is integrated by four bariatric surgeons with wide and ample experience in the surgical management of morbid obesity. The group has performed more than 3,600 laparoscopic bariatric procedures, including Roux en Y Gastric Bypass, Vertical Banded Gastroplasty, Adjustable Gastric Band, Sleeve Gastrectomy and the more complex Bilio-Pancreatic Diversion and Duodenal Switch. In the last year we have done several Roux en Y Gastric Bypass operations in patients with Diabetes Mellitus II with minor degrees of obesity or even overweight, with resolution of the metabolic problem ( Diabetes ).
The surgeons of the Bariatric Support Group have also large experience in Advanced Laparoscopic surgical procedures such as surgery of the esophageal hiatus (hiatal hernia, Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease GERD), splenectomy, pancreatectomy, surgery of the adrenal glands, gastrectomy, bowel resection, hepatic resections, etc.
